should you wish to speak to someone in person, pick up the phone and call julie or malcolm on :- 01432 850315 / 07540074653 / 07894992083 the origo mare complex has been chosen by the prestigeous company pierre & vacances to open one of it's own 'village club' resorts over 120 hectares. as a guest, you will be able to access all the facilities on offer. these include free access to all three restaurants and sports bar, as well as a 15% discount for the a la carte chimborazo restaurant. guests will also be able to purchase, again with a discount, a bracelet entitling them to access to the very impressive crater water park, complete with wave pool, as well as sports, activities, entertainment and childrens clubs. additionally, free wifi is available in the hotel area with optional faster internet speed in hotel business area at an additional cost. origo mare hotel adult pool / sun lounger / bar area. crater park with wave pool, slides and climbing area. our family first visited the island over ten years ago and friends and family have been returning ever since. it's location, on the north shore of fuerteventura, affords it spectacular sea and mountain views as well as immediate access to one of the most dramatic and unspoilt coastlines on the island. our guests will also enjoy the extensive landscaped gardens, and free and immediate access to swimming and paddling pools as well as tennis and paddle courts. south facing patio area. r eview, 2013 "we have recently returned from a lovely holiday break in fuerteventura, our first time to the island , escaping the winter cold of the u.k. we certainly were not disappointed, the island although small ,is varied with plenty to do and see, especially if activities such as walking, cycling and surfing is your thing. our stay at villa bocaina near majanicho was perfect.a complex out of the way, quiet and peaceful, yet only a short drive to the nearby town of lajares, where restaurants, cafes, shops and an all essential supermarket , provided for all our needs. villa bocaina was clean, tastefully furnished and finished, with the most amazing views. it was extremely well equipped both for essential living and recreation. there were tennis rackets , an amazing selection of dvd 's books and games for all to enjoy. nearby were tennis courts and a swimming pool. if into surfing then the surf was easily checked each day with out even having to get out of bed. it was lovely to settle to sleep with the sounds of the surf pounding in the background. in planning our holiday , the owners malcolm and julie were most helpful , even giving advice on the various hire car companies. to get to and from the villa , and general exploring of the island , a car is essential, it was reassuring that during our stay , there was a contact number of a person living nearby to contact in case of emergency. we had a welcome pack of essentials on our arrival , this was much appreciated as our arrival time was late in to the evening. depending on the wind, sun, direction there were various sitting out points to soak up the sun, situated around the villa. the villa certainly contributed to making our holiday a relaxing and enjoyable one , away from the rat race of u.k living we are already thinking about a return visit. highly recommended villa." p. c. swansea. please see 'trip advisor' for original 5 star review. watersports enthusiasts are spoilt for choice, surfers can see "derecha" , a 'world class break' can be seen working from the upstairs patio area!! windsurfers and kitesurfers are equally spoilt for choice whilst majanicho is ideal for fishing, snorkeling, sea canoeing and swimming. it has also become a very popular destination for stand up paddleboarders from around the world. guests staying at villa bocaina will enjoy miles of unsurfaced coastal tracks from el cotillo in the east to corralejo in the west. additionally, it's immediate proximity to the volcanic mountainous interior make it an ideal destination for walkers, mountainbikers, photographers and wildlife enthusiasts. flights from many uk airports including birmingham, liverpool, manchester, bristol, stansted and gatwick. please call owners direct for details. malcolm and julie williams, 01432 850315 / 07540074653. t he nearest town of lajares is 5 minutes by car away, (30 minutes by bicycle!) and has tapas bars, restaurants, pizza bars, a 'french', 'german', and 'spanish' bakery. they all sell delicious bread, fresh coffee, croissants, pastries and filled rolls. there is often 'live music' in the bars and festivals throughout the year. it is a central 'hub' for all the local surf, windsurf and kiteboarding schools as it has easy access to miles of local beach and reef breaks. up to date information and a list of what is on can be found on the official fuerteventura tourist information web site. click on the link below to find out what is going on locally. http://www.laoliva.es/corralejograndesplayas/eventos.php swimming and paddling pools. recent review -7th. april, 2013 a compact and bijou property offering all mod cons, and sports equipment for use on the complex. the well equipped kitchen, dishwasher and washing machine provide a hassle free holiday for those wishing to enjoy a quiet week away from the masses. the complex was almost deserted when we visited in early april. the panoramic views from the bedrooms are stunning, looking north over the shore line it was lovely to enjoy a coffee on the balcony and watch the sun rise over the mountains. the living area faces south, and opens out onto a terrace towards the front of the property. we enjoyed a few bbq's out here in the evenings. villa bocaina is in a remote location so a car is essential, if you wish to visit some of the remote beaches a 4x4 would be best, as some of the "roads" make for a bumpy ride. lajares, a 5 minute car ride away provides a wealth of bars and cafes to enjoy as well as a well stocked supermarket. el cotillo and corralejo both around 15 minutes away provide excellent beaches, bars and shops. fuerteventua is a quiet island, sparsely populated and laid back, villa bocaina provided a great base from which to explore the island. we hope to return again soon. j. r. pontefract 5 star review.
